We were invited along to visit Holmside Park over half term, the perfect place to visit with the weather being its typical bank holiday delight-fullness!
With a range of inflatables including a huge obstacle course, archery and roller skating to have a go at, then a soft play area and cafe all indoors to enjoy. You also have a great range of outdoor areas with a helicopter and fire engine to explore, pedal go-karts, bouncing pillows, a huge fort and a play park. Make sure you check out the photos and video below to get a feel for the place.

We found it easy following the sat nav from the postcode and it was signposted once close.
We visited over the school holidays (the hours’ change for the holidays so please check below) and arrived for opening, as the day went on even at lunchtime we could see lots more families still arriving. When you arrive your given your own pair of socks to wear in the indoor inflatable area and also for your visit you will be wearing a wristband. We headed straight outside whilst the weather was still dry. With a huge play Fort ahead the girls raced to climb the stairs and stand to wave from the top before zooming down one of the slides. We ventured underneath the Fort too, where the children can explore through the large tunnels. By the fort, you have a little park with swings and a wooden obstacle course. A short walk up the sloped path you can see ahead of you the huge yellow helicopter, as well as the bouncing pillows and go-karts, to have lots of fun on. As we where the only ones outside at the time I couldn’t resist a go on the go-karts, I may have gotten a little competitive and lapped the girls once or twice!
So much fun for us all and the girls really loved seeing me get involved with the fun. I’m someone who worries far too much what others are thinking but lately, I’m just embracing the time with the girls, having fun as the years are flying by and it won’t be long before it’s not cool to spend time with Mum!
We decided to head inside as a few spots of rain began to fall. Willow loved the challenge of the inflatable obstacle course. She zoomed around it whilst I wasn’t quite so fast climbing the inflatable walls we certainly shared lots of laughter doing it. It is huge at 100m long! At one point I stopped to take a breather and didn’t really concentrate on what I’ rested slightly against and ended up falling backwards much to Lily’s amusement she couldn’t stop laughing at my misfortune.
A quick try out of roller skating and it’s safe to say it wasn’t for Willow just yet. She had more smiles than looking scared but was glad to get off the rink again. Who knows a bit of practice and maybe next time she will be doing laps.
The inflatable Pole Joust also had the girls laughing as they took to their podiums to compete. Lily pretty much just let her sister win which was sweet, I think she had exerted herself completing the obstacle course.
They also have a section for toddlers that Willow had a sneaky look in when it was empty she loved the floating ball area! Her reaction sums up their thoughts on the place really. They both loved it!
You also have archery, a 4 in 1 inflatable and soft play inside to enjoy as well as a few coin operated things such as a pool table and air hockey.
It is clear on the visit that a few things are very much work in progress and there are a few new exciting items to be added in the future.
Thankyou HolmsidePark for inviting us along to try out your adventure park we had a great time and look forward to watching you grow!
