Lunch with a view at The Spa Hotel in Saltburn (Ad)

*AD – We were invited along for a complimentary meal in exchange for an honest review and blog post.

A day out enjoying the many delights of Saltburn-By-The-Sea we had quite the view whilst enjoying our delicious lunch at The Spa Hotel.  Who doesn’t love people watching, especially when you can see surfers catching the waves?

You don’t even need to worry if the sun goes behind a cloud here as they even have fluffy blankets you can use to keep the cool air at bay whilst enjoying the stunning panoramic views from the terrace of Huntcliff and the North Sea.

The Spa Hotel has a great variety on the menu for adult and children’s meals. Lily opted for the 4oz burger whilst Willow went for Teeside’s favourite delicacy a chicken Parmo! With two courses at £7.50, I was expecting the portions to be quite small but they certainly didn’t disappoint.  I chose from the light lunch menu a steak sandwich, which really hit the spot with its onion jam, very morish and perfectly cooked chunky chips. You can see the full menu available at The Spa Hotel here.

We will definitely be returning. A great place to admire Saltburn beach from above and enjoy some scrumptious food.

Whilst inside I noticed how welcoming this hotel is for your furry doggy friends too, you can read about how they cater for your dog here!

The welcoming bar area has some beautiful interiors, you need to go inside to place your order whilst sitting out on the terrace or you can dine inside the restaurant. My only fault I found was that we did have a little delay with the girl’s pudding but it wasn’t a problem with the views we had to enjoy outside. The girls told me it was well worth the wait. I also purchased a slice of carrot cake and a hot chocolate to enjoy the terrace a little longer.

From The Spa Hotel at Saltburn, it’s easy to walk on down the pathway to the beach. After our food, we enjoyed a walk along the beachfront, the beach huts were very busy and full of lots of happy families enjoying this beautiful Victorian seaside town.

A little trip into the arcade on the pier, the 2p machines are a firm favourite with my girls. Then we had a trip on the Vanicular Tramway back up to the town itself where we enjoyed browsing the independent shops.

Thank you again for inviting us along to have lunch at The Spa Hotel.
