The girls and I had loads of fun checking out the great new Pumpkin Patch @peepopumpkin just outside of Richmond at Hudswell in North Yorkshire. What a fantastic job they have done with the decoration, really thinking of all the little things, like being able to toast the marshmallows you have just purchased, who doesn’t love toasted marshmallows, a pumpkin carving barn, and quirky decorations all around the site, so many photo opportunities!
On entry, we had to wash our hands before we could collect a wheelbarrow to use, with sinks and hand sanitizers available.
There are lots of things for the children to look at and enjoy here, Willow loves making fairy garden areas at home, so she especially loved the fairy houses. They have a little train ride on site for little ones (additional cost), Hook a Duck stall which Willow had a little go and was pleased with her huge bucket of Halloween slime! A small park area, hammocks, a fire pit area for the evening to sit by, and enjoy some of the hog roasts from Cassie’s Kitchen. We had a lovely Hot Chocolate and Cupcake from here on our visit, we were a little too early in the day for the hog roast sadly.
We spent a while walking around the site, taking in all the different areas, and enjoyed a lovely hot chocolate and cake from the caravan, Cassie’s Kitchen, plenty of space to feel safe, and choose a pumpkin or two.
It’s is muddy as you would expect with all the rain we’ve had, so make sure you pack your wellies and go enjoy this wonderful new addition to the area.
They even have evening events planned, I imagine it will all look quite magical with it all lit up.
Once we had chosen our pumpkins we headed to the area to pay, we decided to go into the barn area and carve the smaller pumpkin and enjoyed some toasted marshmallows too. Lots of lovely treats are available to purchase in here and the barn looked magical with all the hanging witches hats and rows of pumpkins.
Please note that you must pre-book a slot on the website here .
Peepo Pumpkin’s Patch is located at
Green Lane Farm
Entry prices start from just £2 depending on what time of day you wish to go. Please remember you must pre-book.
I spent less than £20 altogether with Lily enjoying a hot chocolate, Willow having a go on the hook a duck, a bag of marshmallows to toast, a cupcake, and two pumpkins one was giant 😅 , and the pre-paid entrance fee, not bad at all I didn’t think.
You can watch a little video of our visit here
You could always make a day of it with a trip into the beautiful historic market town of Richmond afterward, visiting the impressive falls and take a walk along the Castle walkway.
