We visited Cod Beck Reservoir in Osmotherly, North Yorkshire on New Years Day which meant it was very busy, lots of family’s having the same idea. That being said it’s was still a lovely walk around the reservoir at around 1.5miles and a 40-minute stroll.
Plenty of spots to take a seat and take in the beautiful view. Definitely somewhere we will visit again as the weather gets warmer. With the lovely cod beck, a small river, that flows into the reservoir, this area is known as ‘Sheepwash’ it looked rather idyllic for the warmer months for the kids to play in.
For Cod Beck Reservoir we used the postcode is DL6 3AL. There are two small car parks, it is free to park, as you drive past the reservoir it is quite narrow roads, on the right-hand side up ahead you will find the parking area. The walk is easy terrain which makes it a popular one.
There are a few choices for food in the village of Osmotherly so it would be the perfect weekend outing.
