Walking with Alpacas at Brockbushes Farm Shop and Tea Room, Corbridge

I got to do something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time be around some beautiful alpacas as we walked them around a field at Brockbushes Farm Shop and tea rooms.

Brockbushes is located just off the A69 near Corbridge in Northumberland. The postcode is NE43 7UB.

They had a great children’s fun zone event on, with a wristband available for £6.99 each for the girls for a morning session it was on from 10.30am until 1.30pm. Lots of fun and laughter for these two on the inflatables and the little fairground rides they definitely got our money’s worth, I lost count of the number of times Willow went on the swings!

You could also walk with Alpacas on one of the fields it was £2 per alpaca walk.  It went really well the first time around the second time the girls decided they would like to be in control. Well, you can guess what happened next! Halfway round then two alpacas are running back loose down towards the owner, I only wish I’d still had my phone out to film them and the girl’s reaction, the owner did say beforehand it could happen and not to worry but the girls mustn’t have heard that bit they were mortified.

It was quite the experience and a great trip out. We also had a look around the lovely farm shop and can’t wait to go back again next summer and enjoy fruit picking as sadly we where too late this year and all fruit had been picked.
